About The Real Huntsman Spider
The male is usually 15 - 25 mm and the female 35 - 40 mm in size
The colour can vary from browns to greys and it is often mottled
The first two pairs of legs are longer than the rear two and its body has a rather flattened and hairy appearance
Huntsman spiders can move sideways like a crab
The Huntsman normally lives under bark of trees during daytime and then emerge at night
They often enter houses where they are seen on walls

Male and female Huntsman spiders have a lengthy courtship, which involves mutual caresses
Huntsman spiders live peacefully together in large colonies
